CBBC's 32nd ANNUAL

COVERED BRIDGES RIDE

October 7, 2012 (Rain or Shine!!)

Click for bridge information

This is THE premier cycling event in scenic Bucks County. Timed each year to be held on a rain-free weekend with the gorgeous fall colors shouting out, the CBR, as our members call it, is our best event ever.

You have five beautiful routes to choose from -- 20, 30, 33, 50 or 63 miles -- loads of great food, and the option to get our prized long-sleeve T-shirt. Travel through up to six historic covered bridges. Fatter tired bikes work best on the cinder-based paths for the 20 and 30 mile routes, which visit one or two bridges. The rides conclude with a Grande Finale Picnic.

Rides start and end at Tinicum Park, along the shores of the Delaware River. Join 2000 riders from all over the northeastern United States and ride through some of the most beautiful areas in this part of the world.

READ THIS before you register.  READ IT AGAIN right before the ride.

Food, Glorious Food!

All that pedaling can work up a hunger!  Good thing our rest stops are well-stocked with fresh fruit, water, sports drinks, home-made baked goods and other treats.  Our Grande Finale Lunch (11:30-3:00) features something for meat-eaters and veg-heads alike!  Rest stop hours:

·         Bulls Island/20 & 30 mile routes: (9:30-2:30)

·         Ottsville/33 mile route (9:00-1:00)

·         Pipersville/33, 50 & 63 mile routes (9:30-3:00)

Hills, Glorious Hills!

It’s Bucks County.  It’s hilly here.  While the 20 & 30 mile routes are pancake-flat, the other routes follow hilly terrain

33-mile route: 1,900 feet

50-mile route: 2,800 feet

63-mile route: 3,900 feet
