Level B-/C+: 13-14mph, 46 miles. Meet at Horsham Township Library. Ride leaves at 9:45 am. For March 20: Carpe Diem! Sunshine and afternoon high temp of 60*! Today's route is a scenic gem from Claire & Charlie. From Horsham Library, meander into Bucks County, to Bucks County Biscotti (mile 19.1, still $5 in 2025) and bike-friendly Tabora's Farm Market for lunch/snack/coffee, etc. (mile 24.7). Deluxe porta-potty facilities are available at Tabora's. On the return from Tabora's, we will skirt along the edge of Lake Galena on the paved waterside path in Peace Valley Park, at Mile 27. Our return route will also include part of the 202 Parkway path Paved). Additional opportunities for restroom breaks, if needed: Windlestrae Park at Mile 5.3 on the outbound, and Lions Pride Park at Mile 40 on the return. Total elevation gain is 2597 ft, averaging 56 ft/mile. The elevation is before the lunch stop at Tabora Farm (at the top of the climb). The return after lunch is pretty tame. CO-LEADERS WELCOME to lead groups at alternative speeds. GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route. On-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk.
