A quick gander at the weather forecast shows rain forecast for the next 2 Saturdays, so we'll handle this is through e-mail notices once the forecast is more clear, as to whether the weekend hike will be on Saturday or Sunday.  The default is Saturday unless you hear otherwise by early Saturday morning.
Hikes:
Saturday, January 4 at 10 am: Zega Lockatong trail

Meet at: Travel just north of Stockton on Rt 29 and make a right on Federal Twist Rd.  Make the first right on Federal Twist on to Ravens Rock Rd in about a 1/4 mile there will be a parking lot on the left just before the bridge over the creek.  We'll meet there.
The hike is through the woods, mostly on marked trails, along the creek and then up a big hill, across a field and then over untravelled roads back to the start.  Distance about 5 miles.
Saturday, January 11 at 10 am: D&R Greenway 518 hike
Meet at: Travel east on RT 518 out of Lambertville toward Hopewell, pass Hewitt Rd and then about 1/4 mile on the right there is a parking lot with a D&R Greenway sign.  If you pass Whellfine you've gone too far.
The hike is through the woods on marked trails, part ways by a gurgling creek, and then back to some lightly traveled roads to Rt 518 and back to the parking lot.  Distance about 5 miles.
Saturday, January 18 at 10 am: Lockatong Falls hike (not currently on CBBC ride schedule)
Meet at: Get on Rt 519 just past Stockton and take it up to Rosemont and keep going North, pass Strimples Mill Rd and less than a 1/4 mile on the left is a green sign for a Wildlife Area.  Take that dirt road to the end and park.
The hike is all through the woods on a marked trail to a 8-12 foot waterfall on Lockatong Creek.  The distance is 2 miles.
I'll be away the last weekend in January and the first weekend in February. In the meantime, I'll be researching new hikes for February.
