The Mercer Museum is researching cycling and bicycle racing in Bucks County.

Cory Amsler ( camsler @ mercermuseum.org ), VP at The Mercer Museum is researching the history of cycling and bicycle racing in Bucks County. They are planning this to be an exhibit in 2017. They have some information on the Bucks County Wheelmen. From what I understand, this was the predecessor to the Central Bucks Bicycle Club. Cory is looking for anyone he can speak with to gather more information. He asked if the club could reach out to our senior members who would know more about the history of the club and any other information related to bicycles in bucks county. Additionally he is looking for anyone who was a bicycle racer in the region and can share some stories. Please reach out to Cory if you can assist, his email address is above.

Brian Boger at Dtown Bike Works has done much work on this. Don't think there was any precursor to CBBC except BCW and CBBC are touring clubs.

Hi David, I got the tidbit directly from Brian. Brian is the one who introduced me to Cory. You too were a racer, if you have history to share, please reach out to Cory.

NOTE: spell checker altered Cory's email address. I fixed it in the last message, it is: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
