You have a love of cycling and we’re in love with supporting folks in need. We are asking for your help in bringing our two passions together in our 12th annual “Brake the Cycle of Poverty” ride through the beautiful rolling hills of rural Berks County August 14th. The event features four routes that offer something for everyone, from weekend warriors to hard-core endurance cyclists. All four rides feature breath-taking views, rolling hills, winding backroads, best-in-class SAG support and well-marked roads with the two longer rides incorporating a number of challenging hill climbs.

4 breathtaking courses: The 62 mile Metric Century offers a ride through all 4 covered bridges in Berks County, a 40 mile rolling hills ride that crosses two covered bridges, one with 25 miles of winding backroads, and a flat 10 mile easy scenic ride perfect for beginners and families too. While fundraising is not required to participate, a rider’s sponsorship provides critical financial support to the range of community services we provide. Those riders who raise at least $300 receive a Friend, Inc. cycling jersey as our thank you.

This is a beautiful ride for a beautiful cause and we thank you for your help. You can register directly here .
