SAT DECEMBER 23, 2023 - LAKES, PARKS, & COFFEE (LAKE LUXEMBOURG/CORE CREEKPARK TO PENNINGTON VIA ROSEDALE PARK) CO-LEADERS WELCOME (AD-HOC RIDE)
Level B-/C+: 13-14mph, 48 miles. Meet at Core Creek Park, Park Rd, parking lot lext to Lake Luxembourg. The ride leaves at 9:45 am. Pretty and scenic meander through Bucks County, PA and Mercer County, NJ. Meet at Lake Luxembourg in Core Creek Park, then head towards Yardley and Washington Crossing. Explore peaceful roads in Mercer County, stopping for coffee/snack/lunch at Emily's Cafe in Pennington at Mile 31. Before the lunch stop, we'll cycle around the lake in Rosedale Park, and ride on park of the Lawrence Hopewell Trail. On our way to Pennington, we can stop if needed for a quick restroom/snack break at Washington Crossing or Titusville. Total elevation is 2066 ft, averaging 43 ft/mile. Most of the climbing is before the lunch stop. Before and after Washington Crossing, we'll be on flat River Rd. CO-LEADERS WELCOME, if you would like to lead a group at an alternative pace.
