HomeGrant Program

The Central Bucks Bicycle Club (CBBC) was established in 1975 and is dedicated to the encouragement of all aspects of bicycling. The mission of the Club is to sponsor and support recreational cycling activities; to encourage bicycling as a leisure activity, as a beneficial form of exercise, as a method of transportation, and as a sport; and to promote equal road rights and safe bicycling practices.

Each year, a portion of the proceeds from CBBC's Covered Bridges Ride is set aside to fund our Grant Program.

CBBC has created the CBBC Grant Program as a vehicle to award financial grants to those organizations whose programs best align with the CBBC mission. Proposals are evaluated on the vision, goals and needs of the applying organization.

Full instructions are presented on the following application. Please download and apply now! The application deadline is October 15th of each year.

In the past five years, CBBC has granted over $50,000 to 20 non-profit organizations.

The recent grant recipients include:

Bicycle Access Council, Dallastown, PA: to maintain the operations of this Pennsylvania state-wide bicycle advocacy organization that represents bicycling only.

Christ Home for Children, Warminster, PA: to support their work caring for children in need through CBBC's annual Gift Ride.

College Settlement Camp, Horsham, PA: to purchase children bikes and helmets for their expanding day camp program.

Doylestown Bike & Hike Committee, Doylestown, PA: to purchase and install an outdoor bike repair station near the trail head at 202 Parkway and Lower State Road.

Gearing Up, Philadelphia, PA: to provide continual funding for their earn-a-bike program for women in transition.

Neighborhood Bike Works, Philadelphia, PA: to provide continual funding for their afterschool Youth Bike Education & Empowerment Program.
