Level B-/C+: 13-14mph, 30 miles. Meet at Wycombe Train Station. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. 9/11 Ride on peaceful Bucks County roads from the historic Wycombe Train Station to visit the 9/11 Memorial at the Garden of Reflection (www.9-11memorialgarden.org) in Lower Makefield Township, just north of Yardley. (The Garden of Reflection will be hosting an official 9/11 Anniversary ceremony earlier this morning from 8:30 to ~9:30-ish. This ride is scheduled to arrive well after that ceremony, in order to avoid crowds.) After visiting the lovely and moving Garden of Reflection, we will cycle a few more miles south to Shady Brook Farm Market in Yardley for a quick coffee/snack break at the half-way mark. The return route from Shady Brook is adapted from a recent (and scenic) route by Dan Operacz.....we will cycle through the historic borough of Newtown, as well as some of the trails in Tyler State Park. CO-LEADER(S) WELCOME to lead other groups at alternative speeds. The on-line route map is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/48372678. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 9:30 am.
