About this event

Sat September 14, 2024 - Three Counties in One Ride - Blank & Plank Metric CO-LEADER(S) WELCOME https://ridewithgps.com/routes/33754867
Level B-/C+: 13-14mph, 66 miles. Meet at Warwick County Park, Ridge Rd (PA-23), Knaurtown, PA, Chester County. The ride leaves at 8:30 am. Reprise of a pretty and scenic route through Chester, Berks, and Lancaster Counties, made popular by other ride leaders. Many thanks to CN and FJ for the original route, and thanks to CB for this updated version. A scenic ride from Warwick County Park (Knauertown, PA, near St. Peter's Village) into western Chester County with a few miles in Berks and Lancaster Counties. Beautiful farm country. Revised version which avoids busy PA-345, and adds September Farm food stop (closed Sundays). Total climbing: 3806 ft. (It IS Chester County.) The "famous" intersection of Blank & Plank is at Mile 31. There used to be buffalo at Blank & Plank. We have rest stops along the way at Turkey Hill, September Farm, and Far & Away farm store, and plenty of peaceful and green countryside. CO-LEADER(S) WELCOME to add alternative speed groups to add more options for our riders. Please contact LMc to have your name and speed group added. THANK YOU! The Start/Finish at Warwick County Park has plenty of free parking, and restrooms near the parking lot. If you are driving a distance and need a pre-ride coffee, the park is near the bakery in St. Peter's Village. The on-line route map is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/33754867. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 8:30 am.
