About this event

Fri November 14, 2025 - Friday Frolic w/Linda. CENTRE SQUARE PARK to Harleysville & the Alpaca Farm.
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39486071
Level B-/C+: 12.5-14mph, 45 miles. Meet at Centre Square Park (please park near the bathrooms). The ride leaves at 9:45 am. We will be borrowing one of Howard Hochheiser's very scenic and popular routes. This is a pretty and scenic meander in outer Montgomery County to visit the friendly alpacas at Graceful Glen Farm at Mile 19....they usually come right up to the fence to say "hello" to us. On the outbound, we have a quick bathroom & water break at Fischer's Park on bustard Rd at Mile 11. Please bring snacks with you. On the return from the alpaca farm, we can stop at Hennings Market in Harleysville at Mile 26 for a sit-down lunch stop, if riders prefer. There is also an optional Wawa stop in Skippack at Mile 31. The total elevation gain is a tame 2001 ft, averaging less than 44 ft/mile ft/mile. Terrain is mostly gently rolling, with a few climbs, but nothing extreme. Please click on the RWGPS.com link to view the elevation profile. GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk. As long as we are enjoying outdoor exercise, and Mother Nature, in the company of friends, we'll have a memorable outing. Cue sheets will be available. The on-line route map is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39486071. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Friday, November 14, 2025 at 9:45 am.
