The Central Bucks Bicycle Club Board recently approved a project to migrate 
our current website to a new, updated version. The club is continually facing chal-
lenges with integrating disparate components of the existing website, which is 
causing stability and cost issues associated with upgrades and fixes. To eliminate
these issues, CBBC is migrating to a software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering from
Club Express. Club Express is a subscription basedpackage that will eliminate the
need for CBBC to maintain the website, reducing the overall costs of the website.

Additionally, CBBC will continually receive new features as part of our subscrip-
tion. Lastly, CBBC will also be launching our first mobile app for Android and 
Apple.

Here are some cool features to expect in our first release:

★ Want to know when rides get posted? Automatically opt in to email notifica-
tions by ride category. This way you’ll know when Rich Sadler posts his Tuesday 
evening C+ ride.
★ Want to sign up for Terry Hampton’s Thursday morning C Ride? Register to
join his ride on-line. No need to bother Terry with texts or emails.
★ Tired of signing Scott McLaren’s Tuesday morning C+ crumpled Ride Waiver
form? It will be eliminated by agreeing to the Ride Waiver at ride registration.
★ Want to ensure the correct phone number for your Emergency Contact? You’ll
designate your Emergency Contact/Telephone at ride registration with full visibility
to your Ride Leader via the mobile app. This way we can be in touch with Tony
Generose’s wife immediately following his next accident.
★ Ride Leaders can now designate maximum ride capacity. Riders can be waitlisted
after the ride capacity has been reached.
★ Current pictures will be featured on the website so we can see your smiling
faces.

Initial “soft” launch of the new website is targeted for late November, 2022. This way all the hearty cold weather riders can test the implementation prior to you fair weather riders venturing out in the Spring.
