Please join us at the Quad County Metric on Saturday, May 20 - SCU's signature event, taking cyclists through four scenic counties. A portion of our proceeds will benefit the Bicycle Access Council of PA and College Settlement Camp The SCU Quad Begins at Beautiful Green Lane Park in Upper Montgomery County and winds through Berks, Lehigh and Bucks counties before returning to the park. There are rides tailored for all ages and abilities - multiple distance options. The Intensive Climbing Unit (ICU) will once again be available on both the 45 mile and 68 mile rides. In addition, we are offering a longer route this year extending it to 106 miles, making it a full century for those wanting a real challenge! This is a fully supported ride, with well-stocked rest stops, cue sheets, road markings, SAG, mechanics, etc. After your ride, enjoy the festive finish line lunch at Green Lane Park. Pre-registration closes on May 17. Please visit suburbancyclicsts.org for complete event details, as well as registration.

I registered for the 2018 SCU Quad 68m ride and would like to know from any club members that rode that event in the past how it compares (hills, traffic, etc.) with the CBR. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Also would be interested in knowing if there might be club members planning on riding that event this year. Would consider a longer route only if weather allows to put more road time in before May. Thanks!

Hi Don
This is one of my favorite rides of all time. If you're doing the 68 with the ICU section. You're in for a hill fest. The ICU part I think is one of the most beautiful routes around; with the quietest roads. With the ICU it's hillier than the CBR.
All the routes are on hilly quiet beautiful roads. You're going to have a blast!
