For all of you bike history buffs!

Brian Boger of The Doylestown Bike Works will give a presentation based around John Foster, Henry Ruos' Lenape Bike Works factory, the Doylestown Wheelmen, the Doylestown Velodrome and the transcontinental bike trip of Frank Kolbe. The Bike Works was the original site of Foster's home and bike/toy store. On display that evening will be one of the two known existing Lenape Racers on loan from the Mercer Museum, as well as other early bike memorabilia. The presentation will take place in the "Syd & Sharon Martin Barn Gallery" behind Doylestown Historical Society. Free.

Following the reading, there will be a reception at Doylestown Bike Works where you can view the two existing Lenape Bikes, artifacts from Bert Smith's Village Cyclery and Foster's Toy & Cycle Shop as well as some artifacts from the Doylestown Wheelmen.
